Position: Quality Assurance Inspector of Natural Stone Products
Brief Description of Job Duties: Examine natural stone, granite, quartz, marble and travertine for use in countertops and backsplashes. Evaluate color, texture, fissures, porosity, chipping, and pitting. Recommend the purchase, or not, of the examined stone. Identify quality problems and recommend solutions to the buyer before he/she purchases the natural stone or related products. After purchase, but before acceptance, inspect natural stone, quartz, granite to determine that it is undamaged and meets the buyer’s expectations. Provide immediate support to address compliance-related concerns.
Required Degree: High School Diploma
Experience: 24 Months Experience in the job offered or in any job which involved inspection of
Natural Stone
Place of Employment: Houston, TX
Travel Requirement: Regular international travel to Turkey and other foreign destinations to examine and inspect natural stone, granite, quartz, marble, and travertine is required.

Position: Purchasing Agent

Brief Description of Job Duties: Acquire stone and tile products from suppliers located in Turkey. Research, identify, and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities as well as their reputation. Analyze price proposals and financial reports to determine reasonable prices. Negotiate contracts with suppliers. Write and review product specifications, maintain and review records of items purchased, their costs, and product performance. Prepare purchase orders and agreements for correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications. Monitor shipments and compliance with quality standards such as quality, delivery, and cost. Confer with staff and suppliers to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.

Required Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in BUSINESS ADMIN., FINANCE OR ECONOMICS

Required Experience: 24 months experience in IN THE JOB OFFERED OR AS A PURCHASING MANAGER

Foreign Language: FLUENCY IN WRITTEN AND SPOKEN TURKISH
