Acquire stone and tile products from suppliers located in Turkey. Research, identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities as well as their reputation. Analyze price proposals and financial reports to determine reasonable prices. Negotiate contracts with suppliers. Write and review product specifications, maintain and review records of items purchased, their costs and product performance. Prepare purchase orders and agreements for correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications. Monitor shipments and compliance to quality standards such as quality, delivery, and cost. Confer with staff and suppliers to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and resolve problems related to undelivered goods. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics; 24 months experience is required in the job or as a purchasing manager. Fluency in written and spoken Turkish is required.
